I was so happy when I found that I could purchase replacement parts for this grill. My PK was given to my father as a used grill in 1969. He used it for years and then gave it to me because it had become difficult to use due to the ailing cart and worn out grates. I purchased the new parts and after 37+ years this grill is as good as new. I use lump charcoal and use the vents to control the heat for perfect meals every time. I don’t see any reason why this grill won’t go for another 37 years. I hope to give it to my grand kids some day.

The new parts that are available today are even better than the originals. The cart is very sturdy, durable and lightweight with more than twice the storage area of the original. The new charcoal grate appears to be very heavy and should last for a very long time. The cooking grate has a very cool feature that allows you to lift the grate and add charcoal without removing it from the grill. This is an excellent feature to use when you are smoking pork shoulders or other large pieces of meat.

I would encourage anyone to purchase this grill. It is a little pricey on the front end, but worth every penny in the long run.
