This grill was installed in our new house’s outdoor kitchen when we bought it and worked well for about 4-6 months. The ignition was the first thing to go but that seems to happen in all grills that I’ve owned. The smoker does not even do a semi-capable job. Unfortunately I’d given away my old smoker when I saw that this model had one- I’ve bought a new one since.

The grates have all rusted in spite of cleaning them as directed by their instructions. Now comes the good part. In spite of having a five year warranty on the grates and the house is only 3 years old, I was told that someone in Atlanta has my serial number and so I can’t get any warranty service. I even read them my number directly off the grill.

That is definitely the most creative way to avoid servicing the warranty I’ve ever heard. I guess they should get some credit for that.

I’ll never buy another Viking product and have talked several of my neighbors out of buying their products.
