I just bought this grill after reviewing all of the portable grills on the market. I wanted a Weber grill because our large size grill is by Weber and I have been very happy with it and my sister had bought this portable gill several years ago and has had great luck with it. I had looked at the Weber Baby Q grill but was turned off by the fact that it used a 14.1 oz propane cylinder and not the common 16 oz ones used for camping. My sister’s Weber Go-Anywhere used the standard 16 oz cylinder. Well, just a word to the wise. The new Go-Anywhere grills have followed the Weber Baby Q and also only use the 14.1 oz propane cylinders even though all of the product descriptions I found on-line said that the grill uses the standard 16 oz cylinder. I called Weber to confirm this. My concern was that I couldn’t find the 14.1 oz cylinders in the stores that were selling the grill. According to the woman from the Weber help line, the 14.1 oz cylinders are the same size used for sweating pipes and can be purchased in any hardware store. So I checked it out and sure enough, Home Depot and Walmart do carry them. They are a little more expensive than the 16 oz cylinders, about .50 more but not bad.
Now onto the grill. The only problem I had was that the igniter didn’t always work to light the flame. I had to hand light it myself. Also the igniter switch gets very hot when the grill is cooking. When I turned the grill off and then went to relight it I burned by hand. I hadn’t held the plastic handle on the grill, like the manual suggested, but instead tried to hold the whole igniter switch section. But the grill cooked well and the flame never went out despite the windy conditions. The lid can be a little ackward since it is not attatched to the grill, but it does have hooks to hang it onto the back of the grill. It just took some getting used to. A great grill that will surely last for a decent price.
