I wanted a hibachi for my husband for his birthday. We are retired and it is just the two of us so it does not make sense to fire up the grill just to cook a couple of chops or two hamburger.

Lodge is well known for making superb cast iron cookware and the grill is made of the same high quality cast iron.

It was really hard to find a decent hibachi but finally I decided on the Lodge Sportsman’s L410 grill. After searching online for a good price; I was able to get one for a really good price at cooking.com ($69.99 with very cheap shipping as opposed to $109.99 on the Lodge site pricey shipping). I felt like a cat who swallowed the canary.

So, I do recommend cooking.com for purchases. The grill came quickly it was well packed and it works beautifully. I was surprised cooking.com could ship this heavy grill for such a cheap shipping rate but they did.

The great thing about this grill is you have dampers you can open or close to speed or slow the cooking. There is a plastic cover you can get for the grill to cover it in case of bad weather. The grill is also easy to clean. Also, it is easy to transport if you want to take it camping, to the beach, or on a picnic.
